LOS ANGELES – (June 12, 2018) – Greenland USA, a leading developer of residential and commercial properties, today announced that the City of Los Angeles awarded certificates of appreciation to Greenland USA, as well as to Greenland Group and the Greenland International Hotels Group, for their work with the Sister Cities of Los Angeles Organization (SCOLA).
SCOLA and the China General Chamber of Commerce Los Angeles (CGCC-Los Angeles) have partnered to send 20 talented young Jazz musicians from Los Angeles’ Alexander Hamilton High School to Chengdu and Shanghai, China as part of a cultural exchange program. While in Chengdu the Hamilton students will participate in the 12th annual Sister Cities International Youth Music Festival.
In addition, the students will spend four days in Shanghai where they will perform and learn about cultural, economic and educational aspects of one of the most populous and dynamic cities in the world. Their hotel stay in Shanghai will be sponsored by Greenland USA, along with parent company Greenland Group as well as the Greenland International Hotels Group.

The award, which was presented by the City of Los Angeles, recognizes all three entities for their contribution towards building important friendship and cultural exchange opportunities between Los Angeles and Chengdu and Los Angeles and Shanghai through the Sister Cities of Los Angeles organization.
